Faliraki beach Rhodes is lying 16 km south of the main town and 10 km from the airport. Ladiko Anthony Quinn beach Rhodes: The famous Anthony Quinn beach is located 15 km south of Rhodes town between the beaches of Faliraki and Ladiko. The original name of the beach is Vagies. The beach however was made famous by the film The Guns of Navarone that was actually filmed here. Since then the locals decided to name the beach after the great protagonist Antony Quinn.
The waters owe their deep emerald colour to the kush green vegetation which surrounds the beach. It's mostly popular for young people since the sharp rocks both in and out of the water are not ideal for families with young children or elderly.
The finest spot is the rock right in the centre of the beach, with room for just a few sun beds. Anthony Quinn beach it's one of the best places for snorkeling in Rhodes.
St Paul's Bay is one of the most beautiful bays on the island. Situated just a few meters away from Lindos Reception and nearby the picturesque monastery of Agios Pavlos.
Τhere are two beaches in the bay. The large beach in the southern end consists of golden sand and the smaller beach at the northern end of the bay which is a mix of sand and gravel. Facilities at both beaches include sun loungers, sun shades, toilets and café.
The bay is a great place for snorkeling and diving.
Tsambika Beach is one of Rhodes most beautiful beaches. It is located around 26 km south of Rhodes, and can be reached by car. It is 800 meters long and very wide beach has fine golden sand and only a few pebbles. The turquoise water is shallow and crystal clear.
Tsambika takes its name from the Monastery of the Virgin of Mary (Tsambika), perched on a 1,000 m rock at the north end of the beach. The steep climb to the top, via 297 stone steps, affords spectacular views over Tsambika Bay. The south end of the beach is a designated nudist section.
Facilities at the beach include sun beds, umbrellas, water sports, canteens and tavernas, and a mini-market. Plenty of space for playing and shallow water make Tsambika beach very suitable for families and children of all ages.
Haraki beach is located 36 km south of Rhodes town. It is quiet with crystal clear waters ideal for many activities and interesting water sports. There are nice neighboring beaches with dreamy waters, rocks and caves, such as Kokkini Ammos and Agia Agathi.
There are many taverns in close distance offering some nice seafood and greek dishes. There are a few umbrellas and sundecks If you choose to swim at the far right end of the beach you will have a good view of the Feraklos castle. Along the promenade with the rented rooms there are mini-markets, cafes.
Prasonisi is 90 km far from Rhodes town. It is one of the most impressive beaches on the island. Two sandy coves ending in an island that you can reach on foot or by swimming, depending on the weather and the level of the water.
Prasonisi is a world-renowned paradise for windsurfers and kitesurfers. There is a surf center and surf school at the beach. It is well worth a visit even if you are not a surfer yourself, just to enjoy the magnificent landscape and admire the skill of the surfers. There are several café, restaurants Umbrellas and sun beds in the area.
